About Me

Ed's Profile Pic

I am an animator, who loves to infuse characters and objects of all sorts, with life and personality.  I was born and raised in Port Washington, New York, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in Graphic Arts, from Roger Williams University. After college, I made my dream of being an animator come true by attending Academy of Art University, continuing my education with Master Studies in 3D Animation and also graduating from AnimationMentor, attaining Advanced Animation Certification. Learning never ends, but I have been creating 3D animations for over 15 years on various productions. As an animator, I worked on a feature film, Sir Billi, starring Sean Connery with Glasgow Animation in Scotland.  I also worked on various console games as a freelance animator with Eurocom, working on Dead Space (2008), Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (2009), and 007:GoldenEye (2010). For over 7 years, I have been animating for various games at WB Games/Turbine on two successful MMOs – Dungeons and Dragons Online and Lord of the Rings Online, as well as a MOBA – Infinite Crisis, and a mobile game – Batman: Arkham Underworld and an new announced mobile project for Game of Thrones.

When I’m not working, I am always with my wife and son. I am very much a kid at heart, love to play with my son, take the family traveling, or just sit at home playing games or watching movies.

I am extremely excited about VR/AR/MR technologies and the impact they will have on how people will view and interact with content. I believe that animations will play a huge part in making the most memorable moments for games and experiences; moments that gamers won’t just see, but feel and live.

I did a fun interview with Eric Carlson at CG Chatter, which is a podcast that talks to people of various disciplines in the CG world.  If you want to learn a little more about me personally and my career as an animator, grab some popcorn and check it out!
